Three Days ‘n’ Counting….

Well, Monday was a doosey of a day! I worked only on my website; Etsy account (since I opened another one); downloaded digital pictures from my camcorder and edited them so they could be uploaded and my team mates from the Relay For Life event could also enjoy them; and that was it! Yeah, all day long all I did was pretty much work on my website more than anything else!

Tuesday was much better! Got up and while having coffee, I continued to work on my Etsy account, while also my own website. It was suggested by a couple people – one being a friend – that I need to add PayPal buttons to my website. Well, I had been reminding myself for quit some time that I did need them, but was so busy with life, trying to find a job, and so much else, that it kept getting put off until now! I then debated if I wanted to cut out some material for a custom couch cover that I’m working on, or a maternity top that I’m pretty much going to post on my Etsy account (plus add to my website) or work on one of two vests that are waiting to be finished, and instead I realized that I had better go out to Rosamond and do some more work on the entertainment center that the friends need in their house. I managed to put three coats on the top of the entertainment center after having did some sawing of wood for more projects for both of us (Sheree and myself), but by then it was so cold, wet, and windy out, that the sealer was still wet all over! Some days if it’s windy or warm, the sealer will dry to where I can run my hand over it to check for any spots that need sanding before another coat can go on, but not then!

Wednesday I cut out that custom couch cover and swore that I’d buy a folding table so next time I need to cut out something so big, I won’t have to get down on my hands and knees on the floor to lay out the fabric, measure, then cut! Two pieces I was able to cut out upstairs in my sewing room, but that was it! I then relaxed but not by sitting down! I cut out two more patterns to make caftans and sell as well with one being sized – Small to LG, and the other was XLG and 2XLG. I realize that so much more sewing projects screamed for me to get to them, but I can only do so much at a time! After I cut out the patterns, I then ‘finally’ got to my ‘billboard’ vest! I cut out the material, then added stars where I knew they wouldn’t be in the way of the type that I’m going to transfer to the vest by way of the back of the vest while it’s still in pieces. Not sure how it’s done, but will check since this will be my first time of doing a transfer of type on paper that has been printed in reverse. I did it that way since this is my first time while I’m not sure if this color of blue will take a transfer. If so, then I will save myself the trouble of possibly spraying with an adhesive, then slowly moving my vest with the paper template under my needle while I am also slowly operating the foot pedal in order to make sure each stitch is in the mark or line of the type which when transferred to the face of the fabric, I can see to add the Satin Stitch Embroidery method. A lot of work, but well worth the trouble from my viewpoint! I worked on that vest until about 10pm, while my body ached from all the moving and working on wood and painting the previous day in Rosamond (though I think my arthritis acted up since my joints were in extreme pain, while I also may have slept wrong, but had to keep moving). It is important for me to keep going as I enjoy working, and especially since these are things I love to do, or at least some of, while there’s an eminent move for me coming up soon!
